Does the waste factor change with tile size?+
Yes — small tiles (4×4, 6×6) have less waste because they fit tight spaces better. Large-format tiles (18×18, 24×24) can have 15–20% waste depending on layout complexity. The estimate uses 10% as a baseline.
Should I account for grout lines?+
Grout lines take up negligible area (<1%), so they don't significantly affect tile count. The grout weight estimate handles the material you'll need separately.
What's the best tile size for a small bathroom?+
